Discover the Tatuus new single-seater that symbolizes over 25 years of collaboration with SADEV.
The new Tatuus T-326
Tatuus unveils its latest creation: the T-326, a completely redesigned single-seater now FIA-homologated through 2029. This new model will compete in the FIA’s leading junior series such as the Formula Regional European Championship (FREC), the Formula Regional Oceania Championship (FROC) and the Formula Regional Middle East Championship (FRMEC).
This car is a direct evolution of the F3R T-318, it raises the bar in terms of performance, aerodynamics and safety. It is powered by a 270-horsepower Autotecnica 3-cylinder engine, delivering 380 N.m of torque and reaching a top speed of 270 km/h (167 mph).
The car is equipped with a SADEV gearbox : The SLR82-14
Tatuus has chosen the SADEV SLR82-14, renowned for its robust design, lightweight construction, and proven performance across demanding motorsport disciplines. This 6-speed sequential transmission, with a reverse gear, is widely used in circuit racing, hill climbs, and single-seaters. Its performance was recently showcased with the victories of Robin Shute and Simone Faggioli at the 2023 and 2025 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
Capable of handling up to 500 N.m of torque while weighing just 48 kg (105 lbs), it delivers an ideal balance of strength and efficiency. To accompany the new 3-cylinder engine, which replaces the outgoing 4-cylinder unit, our engineers have carefully reworked the gearbox integration within the chassis. At the same time, the gear ratios have been optimised to meet current technical regulations and to extract even greater performance and drivability on track.
Over 25 years of close work between SADEV and Tatuus
This new single-seater adds to the long list of Tatuus cars already equipped with our gearboxes and marks more than 25 years of collaboration between Tatuus and SADEV. The very first result of this partnership was the Formula Renault 2.0 2000, a lightweight 185-hp single-seater fitted with the SL75 gearbox. It was designed to help young drivers make the transition from karting to higher categories.
The car competed in numerous regional Formula Renault championships, including the European series : Italian, French , the German, the Dutch or British. Among the drivers who took the wheel of this car, there were future champions such as Kimi Räikkönen, Felipe Massa, Robert Kubica, Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas or Daniel Ricciardo.
In the years that followed, many models were introduced, giving young motorsport talents the opportunity to showcase their skills. Among these single-seaters:
- Formula Renault V6 (2003): Top speed of 255 km/h (158 mph), powered by a Renault 3.5L V6 engine with a SADEV SL90-17 gearbox, raced in the Eurocup V6 and World Series by Renault.
- Tatuus T-014 (F4 Gen.1, 2014): Top speed of 220 km/h (136 mph), equipped with a 1.4L turbo Abarth engine and a SADEV SL75-14 LW gearbox, raced in the Italian, German and Spanish F4 Championships.
- Tatuus USF-17 (2016): Top speed of 241 km/h (149 mph), powered by a Mazda 2.0L engine with a SADEV SL75-14 LW gearbox, raced in the USF2000 Championship – the first step on the Road to Indy ladder.
- Tatuus T-318, (FR Gen.1, 2018): Top speed of 260 km/h (161 mph), fitted with a 1.8L turbo Alfa Romeo engine and a SADEV SLR82-14 gearbox, raced in Eurocup-3 and Formula Regional Europe.
- Tatuus T-421 (F4 Gen.2, 2022): Top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph), with a 1.4L ATM-Abarth turbo engine and a SADEV SLR75-14 gearbox, competing in various regional championships worldwide.
- Tatuus MSV-GB3-025 (2025): Top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), featuring a 2.0L Autotecnica engine and a SADEV SLR75-14 gearbox, competing in the GB3 Championship in the UK.
The design of the T-326 reflects the trust built through a long-standing partnership with SADEV and embodies Tatuus commitment to combine technological innovation, performance and reliability, supporting the next generation of drivers on their path to the highest levels of motorsport.
