Since then, numerous projects have been developed together, particularly in the 2010s, around single-seater racing cars such as Formula 3 and Formula 4, as well as Sport Prototypes and more recently GT cars:

Today, these projects continue to make their mark on motorsport worldwide. Ligier race cars equipped with SADEV transmissions compete in numerous championships, including FIA F4 Championships in France, China, India and the United States. As well as the Formula Regional America Championship, the Ultimate Cup Series and the 24H Series.

Our expertise is built on complete mastery of mechanical engineering, highly controlled manufacturing processes and a passion for motorsport that has driven us to pursue ever greater excellence and performance for more than 50 years. We manufacture gearboxes and differentials renowned for their durability and ability to withstand the most extreme conditions in competitions such as the Dakar Rally and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). This complementary partnership between two companies deeply rooted in French motorsport enables teams and championship organizers to benefit from high-performance and reliable racing cars.

Developed by Ligier Advanced Technologies, the Ligier JS F326 is the new single-seater designed to meet the requirements of the FIA Formula Regional Gen2 category. Weighing just 575 kg, the car combines an ultra-safe carbon-fiber monocoque with advanced aerodynamics. It is powered by a 280 hp Horse V20 Performance 2.0L turbocharged engine, featuring an electric “Push-to-Pass” system and compatibility with 100% sustainable fuels.

On the transmission side, the car is equipped with the SADEV SLR82-14 gearbox, capable of handling 400 N.m of torque in single-seater and circuit applications. It is paired with reinforced gearsets specifically designed for turbocharged powertrains. This advanced mechanical package provides drivers and technical directors with a reliable, lightweight and high-performance solution, ensuring maximum efficiency on track.

The Ligier JS2 RS represents a major new milestone in the evolution of Ligier Automotive's GT racing lineup. Built around a dedicated carbon-fibre monocoque homologated to FIA EII SC regulations and complying with LMP3 crash-test standards, the car is designed for both gentleman drivers and professional racers. Beneath its carbon-fibre bodywork with optimized aerodynamics lies a Ford 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine producing 650 hp, supported by state-of-the-art electronics including a MoTeC ECU, Bosch ABS, traction control, and a Brembo endurance braking system.

The car is equipped with the latest evolution of the SADEV SL90-20, the SL90-20LW gearbox. This new transmission for two-wheel-drive vehicles has been redesigned by our engineering department, with a strong focus on lubrication efficiency and a new casing architecture. The result is a durable and capacitive gearbox (700 N.m of torque in this application). This new gearbox is ideally suited to international endurance championships, offering optimized maintenance intervals and controlled operating costs.
