Lohéac Rallycross of 2025 : We will be there !

Our teams are present at several rounds of the French, European, and World Rallycross Championships. We cannot miss the Lohéac round, so we will be attending the French Rallycross Championship round from August 29 to 31, 2025. This weekend, now an unmissable event, is the perfect opportunity to look back on our journey in Rallycross and highlight our gearboxes, which equip nearly 80% of the cars competing in the Supercars category.
SADEV’s beginnings in Rallycross

SADEV entered in Rallycross more than 30 years ago, with a story closely tied to Pailler Compétition. In 1991, Jean-Luc Pailler entered a Citroën BX T16 4x4 and turned to SADEV for a gearbox capable of matching the specific technical challenges of the discipline.
This led to the development of a product designed for four-wheel drive cars, paving the way for the first French Championship titles. Two years later, Jean-Luc went on to claim the European Championship title in his category, competing against renowned drivers such as Kenneth Hansen. A multiple European Champion himself, Hansen also switched to SADEV transmissions starting in the 1993 season. Today, he is the official SADEV distributor in Sweden.
Since then, the partnership with Pailler Compétition has continued, now represented by Jean-Luc’s sons, Jonathan and Fabien Pailler. To date, the team has achieved more than 112 victories, 13 French Championship titles and 1 European Championship title, all with SADEV gearboxes.
Today, the team competes with Peugeot 208 WRX cars delivering 600 hp and 1000 Nm of torque, equipped with ST 90-18 gearboxes and SP03 differentials.
The best gearbox for the “Supercars” category: The ST4-917

The ST4-917 is currently the most advanced gearbox in this category, fitted to models such as the Clio, Peugeot 208, Hyundai, Audi S1 and Ford Fiesta.
Directly evolved from the ST90-18, it has been designed to reduce overall size while maintaining a very high-performance level. More compact and lighter (59 kg), it now allows the engine to be inclined up to 35 degrees, the maximum angle permitted by regulations.
This was not possible with the previous generation, that was too large. The additional space has enabled better mass centralization and a lower placement of several mechanical components. It directly improves the car handling and the on-track performance.
The best-seller in the transversal range: The ST82-14

The Super 1600 and Division 4 categories are distinct, but they share similar configurations: naturally aspirated 1.6L engines in Super 1600 and 2.0L engines in Division 4.
The ST82-14 gearbox, weighing only 35 kg, is renowned for its compact design, lightness, and outstanding reliability. It has been engineered to withstand high revs, power outputs of up to 265 hp, maximum torque of 290 Nm, and the extreme conditions of Rallycross, a discipline particularly demanding on transmissions. This gearbox is used in models such as the Peugeot 208 and Renault Clio.
SADEV partner of PGRX

Since the end of 2024, we have been supporting the PGRX team competing in the Supercars category. Our partnership began at the final round of the World Rallycross Championship in Turkey, which ended with a victory for their driver : Juha Rytkönen.
This season, our partnership continues with our logo featured on the Hyundai i20 WRX cars driven by Klara Andersson, Andreas Bakkerud, and Patrick Guillerme. All three cars are equipped with our ST4-917 gearbox and SP03 differential. Time to race !
