We are pleased to announce our partnership with a young and talented Polish driver, Wojtek Woda, for the 2026 FFSA French F4 Championship.
This support reflects our ambition to highlight our role as a key player in young single‑seater categories and to offer tomorrow’s talents the best environment to showcase their skills.
A rising young talent
At 17 years old, Wojtek Woda is considered as one of the most promising drivers of his generation. He comes from an outstanding 2025 European season, where he confirmed his potential against the continent’s top karting drivers. Among his main achievements:
- Vice‑Champion of the “Champions of the Future Academy 2025”, scoring two podiums and two victories,
- Vice‑Champion of the “FIA Karting Academy Trophy Senior 2025”, including an impressive 4th place in Race 2 after starting 18th, and a 2nd place in Race 3.
These results demonstrate his rapid progression and his ability to compete at the highest level. After several single‑seater testing sessions conducted in 2025, Wojtek will take a major step in 2026, his official debut in the French F4 Championship, a renowned discipline through which drivers such as Pierre Gasly and Isack Hadjar have raced.
A full season driving a single‑seater equipped with a SADEV gearbox
Since 2002, SADEV has supplied gearboxes for the single‑seaters designed by Ligier Advanced Technologies (previously known as Mygale), a company now integrated to the Ligier Automotive group. This partnership enables young drivers to race in a car manufactured in Magny‑Cours and fitted with a gearbox produced in our headquarter in Vendée, the very best of French expertise combined to shape the champions of tomorrow.
In 2026, Wojtek Woda will race in a Ligier JS F422, a single‑seater delivering 160 hp for under 500 kg, fitted with our longitudinal SADEV gearbox, the SLR75‑14, capable of handling up to 300 N.m for circuit application.
FIA‑homologated for the category, the SLR75‑14 has been a key component in Formula 4 for years, earning the trust of manufacturers worldwide thanks to its reliability, technicality and performance. Its rear mounted differential improves weight distribution and contributes to the balanced behaviour of the car. Another feature is that the gearbox uses a structural casing that supports the suspension and the complete rear assembly, which creates a rigid and coherent structure that improves handling precision.
This category also provides a valuable training ground for young technicians and engineers from the FFSA Academy. They develop their skills by working directly on SADEV high performance gearboxes, gaining practical experience with a similar technology that they might encounter in their future career if they move into other racing categories such as Off-road, Circuit, Rallying, Rallycross…
